WB Webster Construction
This is Wade Webster. He is the contractor we hired to build the barber shop into the space we are renting. His business got an A+ grade on the better business bureau and so far we've been really happy with his work. His company is called WB Webster Construction and their website is:
http://www.wbwebsterconstruction.com/

This is me recommending them. If you know...wanna build a jacuzzi two stories up that looks like it was being held up by a tree, or whatever...

Who knew a dryer could be so difficult?
Yesterday the guys drilled through 3 feet of BRICK WALL so the dryer could vent to the outside of the building.
For the last few weeks I have been asking industry professionals as to what kind of dryer could vent 35 feet with one 90 degree turn...it's been a very weird question that has received absolutely no congruency of responses.
Thankfully because they drilled through a brick wall I don't need a dryer that needs to vent 35 feet with one 90 degree turn...I can get any dryer now, which makes things really easy.
More pictures coming soon!

Plumbing! Plus!
The plumbing is coming along. We got pipes coming out of the walls, and people coming to organize the electricity today.

We still have to buy a washer and a dryer. But things are looking good.

Marshall Aune
Marshall Aune is a fellow student of mine in barber school and currently works as a graphic designer.

Although he's done graphic design for a long time, he is in the process of making a career change and is preparing to be a barber. I was blessed with the privilege to cut his hair and he even let me post pictures of the haircut I gave him (which is what you are looking at).
He has a website which you can view here.

Hope you like the haircut I gave him.

Presenting....the first glimpse of the Danburry Barber Shop
We signed the lease and moved into our space. This is what it looks like right now:

This is what my barber chair looks like:

This is what the barber pole looks like:

and this is a clock I am very excited about:

Tomorrow we begin communicating with a contractor to organize the plumbing, electricity and the construction of the cupboards and shelves and sinks and all sorts of cool things. Starting a business is both exciting and daunting. I enjoy both sentiments.
